The people at Clevermoney took a survey of clients and prospects in 2019, and found that only 30% of people had made wills. This is a startlingly low number, considering the amount of delays and disputes that are caused by not having a will.
The main reason given for this is lack of time and knowledge. Lack of time to make appointments to meet with a solicitor to first discuss a will, and then to sign the completed version. Lack of knowledge included not knowing how much it costs (not a lot), and also not knowing the consequences of not having a will.
This has led to Clevermoney setting up a Wills and Trusts section. We have trained staff capable of sorting out straightforward wills for most situations. We can arrange for Husband to Wife/civil Partner to Civil Partner, Parents to Kids, and more. We are also knowledgeable enough to recommend you to a Solicitor if you have requirements that are more specialist in nature.
Our staff can provide you with a questionnaire (by email, post or in person if you need help going through it) in which you can outline your preferences. We will then draft your will and can let you have it to be signed (as above), but please note it will not be valid without two independent witnesses.
